A Fusion of Modern and Classic, East and West

The Flourishing Bouquets residential apartment design, created by Szu Wen Wang, is a stunning fusion of modern and classic elements, seamlessly blending the East with the West. This unique project showcases a plethora of floral elements and oriental totem images, incorporating French sentimental aesthetic imaginations and delicately de-constructing the beauty of French romance.

The design stands out with its resplendent and gorgeous flourishing bouquets, featuring brilliant purples and reds. The use of these vibrant colors adds a touch of opulence and grandeur to the space. Wang's meticulous attention to detail is evident in the incorporation of oriental auspicious implications, such as the oriental image on the wallpaper, which adds depth and cultural significance to the design.

One of the key strengths of this design lies in its emphasis on Feng-Shui arrangements for the spatial layout. The French palace tone serves as the main theme, while the oriental totem images and floral elements create a harmonious blend of cultures. The peacock totem at the entrance foyer symbolizes fortune and auspiciousness, welcoming guests with a sense of grandeur. The slanted storage room collaborates with the circulation of returning home, ingeniously designing the position of wealth in Feng-Shui for the sofa, creating a space that exudes positive energy and prosperity.

As one moves through the apartment, the attention to detail becomes even more apparent. The clusters of litchi fruits on the sofa back wall symbolize a happy and wealthy life, while the magpie and peony above represent the female house owner being pampered and spoiled with love. The branch pointing upwards signifies promotion and a smooth future life. These thoughtful design elements not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the space but also carry profound meanings and blessings for the inhabitants.

The design team faced several challenges during the realization of this project. The original low ceiling and beam issues were cleverly covered up with carved decorations, giving the space an imperial manner. The hand-painted wall murals inside the bedrooms are colorful paintings that required meticulous effort, serving as a blessing to the house owners and symbolizing their vision for a wonderful future life.

The Flourishing Bouquets design project has received recognition for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category.
